About

Last updated: 10 May 2026

Teknever.eu is a small independent archive based in Warsaw, focused on open-source software developments, developer toolchains, Linux distributions, and community events within Poland's developer ecosystem.

The archive was started in 2024 by a group of developers who found that Polish-language coverage of open-source topics was scattered across forums, mailing lists, and social platforms without a stable reference point. The goal was not to replicate what major English-language outlets cover, but to document what is specific to the Polish developer context: hardware that is locally common, events that happen in Polish cities, and contributions from developers based here.

What this archive is

Each article published here is written from documented information — forum discussions, conference talks, GitHub activity, and direct conversations with developers in Poland. The aim is factual and specific rather than promotional. We do not publish sponsored content, and the archive is not affiliated with any software foundation, vendor, or commercial entity.

Topics covered include:

  • Linux distribution installation and configuration on hardware commonly sold in Poland
  • Developer toolchains — compilers, package managers, build systems — in practical use by Polish teams
  • Open-source projects with Polish contributor involvement
  • Coding events, hackathons, and meetups in Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, Gdańsk, and other Polish cities
  • Contributor guides for developers entering open-source for the first time

What this archive is not

This is not a news site with a publishing schedule. Articles are updated when there is something accurate and specific to add. It is not a community forum — comments are not available. It is not affiliated with or financially connected to any company, cloud provider, or software product.
